Andrew Caley
Co-opted Governor - Chair of Governing Board
Date of appointment 15.01.23 End of Term: 14.01.27
Andrew was first elected as a parent governor in 2005 when his two daughters attended the school. He remained as a governor after they moved on, becoming a co-opted governor. For several years he was Chair of the Finance Committee and later also Vice-Chair of the Governing Board. He was elected Chair in December 2021. Andrew was born in Hull and has lived in Beverley for almost 30 years. His career background is in finance (Chartered Accountant), most of which was spent at Fenner PLC where he was Group Treasurer and Head of Tax. He retired in early 2022.
Richard Bradbury

After spending 25 years in industry, Richard now leads Beverley Community Church. He is a trained counsellor and works nationally as part of Churches Together in England. Married with four children and eight grandchildren, he is one of the longer standing members of the governing board of Keldmarsh Primary School.
Rebecca Gibson
Date of appointment 29.01.24 End of Term: 28.01.28
Rebecca is a co-opted governor, having previously been a parent governor since 2019 when her daughter attended the school. She is originally from Derbyshire but has lived in Beverley since 2005.Rebecca studied Law at University and has a background in safeguarding children and adults.She also previously worked as an office manager in a school in Beverley with a focus on finance and health and safety. Rebecca now works as a Deputy Team Leader for the witness service, mainly covering Beverley, Hull and Grimsby Courts, ensuring witnesses feel safe and supported in the court buildings.
Lauren Newham

Lauren is the Local Authoity governor. Both of her children attended Keldmarsh Primary and she continues to live locally. Lauren has worked for the Local Authority for 15 years within the Safety Services team. For the past six years she has been the dedicated Safety Officer for the Children, Families and Schools directorate
Patrick Deer
Date of appointment 15.10.21 End of Term: 14.10.25
Patrick was a parent governor for a term from 2021 - 2025. From October 2025, Patrick was appointed as a co-opted governor. Patrick has a daughter in Year 4. He has taught secondary school English for over 10 years, after graduating university reading literature. He has taught all over the world, most notably in South America and both Eastern and Central Europe. As a consequence, he has a very international household and speaks three languages.
Lee Gallagher
Date of appointment 26.01.24 End of Term: 25.01.28
Less is a parent governor with a child in son in Year 5. His daughter also previously attended the school before leaving for secondary. Lee has a wealth of experience from a 30-year career in the public sector, coupled with extensive involvement in community engagement and collaborative working. Now retired, Lee is a grassroots football coach, running a local Under 9’s team.
Joanne Gibbons

Jo is a parent governor and has daughter in Year 1. Jo has lived in Beverley for a number of years and has worked as a qualified chartered accountant since 2007, in roles both in the UK and overseas. Jo is currenlty the Head of Finance at Hull University having worked there for six years. Prior to this she worked for KCOM, RB and EY in a number of different roles. Jo is also currently a governor at Hull College.
Laura O'Brien
Date of appointment 08.10.25 End of Term: 07.10.29
Originally from Hartlepool, Laura began working in schools before completing her degree at the University of York, gaining Early Years Professional Status and BSL Level One. She qualified as a primary teacher and having mainly taught in KS1, moved to work in alternative provision. She is now Assistant Head/SENCO overseeing an enhanced provision in Hull.
Lee Robertson

Lee is a retired Headteacher who has recently relocated to Beverley after living and work in the south of England for a number of years, across a number of varied schools.
