School Opening Hours

The compulsory school day for all children at Keldmarsh Primary is 8:50am - 3:30pm although the doors open for children to come into school at 8:45am.

The school operates a before and after school provision - The Nest - from 7:30am - 8.45am and 3:30pm - 5:45pm

Office hours 8:00am - 4:00pm

Site team 7:00am - 6:30pm

Arrival
The school gates are open from 8:40am, with the doors opening at 8:45am and closing promplty at 8:50am. 

For safeguarding reasons, parents/carers must not enter the school building without having first registered as a visitor at the main reception. 

School registers close at 9:00am. Children who arrive late before the register has closed, will be marked as late (L code). Children who arrive late after the register has closed must be signed into the building by their parent/carer using the Halo system at the main reception. The pupil will be marked as absent (U code).

Departure
At  3:30pm daily, staff supervise their class out of the building. 

If your child is to be collected by anyone not normally scheduled for a particular day, please advise the teacher or school office of the details prior to 3:00pm. For safeguarding reasons, children will not be released to an unknown person to staff or to someone not normally scheduled to collect unless notification is given. Children will remain in the care of the school until confirmation of collection is ascertained. 

Children in Year 6 are allowed to walk home from school independently when permission is given by parents/carers. Children in Year 5 may begin to walk home from school independently from the start of the Summer term when permission is given to the school by parents/carers. Permission must be given via email. For the safety of all children, we ask that children who attend after school clubs are collected by a parent/carer, regardless of year group in the Autumn/Spring terms.
